Dunja Robotti wurde als Tochter italienisch-deutscher Eltern in Brüssel geboren und erhielt ihren ersten Unterricht am dortigen Conservatoire Royal. An der Berliner Universität der Künste studierte sie anschließend Klavier bei Hans Leygraf und Georg Sava sowie Liedinterpretation bei Aribert Reimann und Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. Meisterkurse bei Vitalij Margulis, György Sebök und Lev Naumov ergänzten ihre Ausbildung.

Bereits während ihres Studiums war Dunja Robotti Tutorin für Liedbegleitung an der Berliner Universität der Künste. Nach mehreren Jahren als künstlerische Mitarbeiterin an der UdK Berlin (in den Celloklassen von Wolfgang Boettcher, Jens Peter Maintz, Markus Nyikos, Wolfgang E. Schmidt und Martin Löhr) ist sie nun in der gleichen Position an der Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg tätig und betreut die dortigen Streicherklassen.

Dunja Robotti ist Preisträgerin mehrerer internationaler Wettbewerbe. In Paris wurde sie erste Preisträgerin der Wettbewerbe „Claude Kahn“ und „U.F.A.M.“ und erhielt beim Internationalen Pianistentreffen in Pontoise einen dritten Preis. Zudem war sie Preisträgerin und Finalistin bei „Città di Marsala“ in Sizilien und „F. Schubert und die Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts“ in Graz.

Regelmäßige Konzerte seit dem zehnten Lebensjahr führen sie als Solistin, Kammermusikerin und Liedbegleiterin in die renommiertesten Konzertstätten Europas (darunter die Berliner Philharmonie, das Berliner Konzerthaus, die Kölner Philharmonie, den Münchner Herkulessaal, das Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris und mehrfach auch an die Schubertiade in Feldkirch) und nach Nord- und Südamerika. Rundfunkproduktionen für den WDR und Radio Bremen sowie, mit selten gespielter ungarischer Kammermusik, für den Bayerischen Rundfunk und den SFB dokumentieren Ihr umfassendes Wirken.

Als ständige Begleiterin der Baden-Badener Carl-Flesch-Akademie, der Liechtensteinischen Meisterkurse in Vaduz und als Probespielbegleiterin bedeutender Orchester bewährt sich Dunja Robotti seit Jahren auf dem allerhöchsten Niveau der Kunst der Klavierbegleitung. Sie ist ebenfalls ständiger Gast des Kammermusik-Ensembles "Ensemble Mediterrain" und der Avantgarde- Band "Continuum", sowie ein regelmäßiger Gast beim "Festival Musica Mallorca".
Ausgleich und stets neue Inspiration jenseits starrer Konventionen bieten ihr experimentelle Projekte wie das Drei-Klaviere-Ensemble "Xinowa Sej" und die Taschenoperette „Mann trifft Frau“.


Dunja Robotti, biography (English):

Born in Brussels, to an Italian father and a German mother, Dunja Robotti began her musical studies at the Brussels Conservatory with Daniel Blumenthal and finished at the University of the Arts in Berlin under the tutelage of Hans Leygraf and Georg Sava. She also attended courses in Lied interpretation by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Aribert Reimann and took master classes with Vitalij Margulis, György Sándor and György Sebök. During her studies she tutored fellow students in Lied-accompaniment.

Dunja Robotti has won numerous awards at international competitions, including 1st prize at “Claude Kahn” and “U.F.A.M.” in Paris, 3rd prize at the “International Meeting of Pianists” in Pointoise, France, and 5th prize at the “Citta di Marsala”, Sicily; she was also a finalist at the “Franz Schubert and Music of the 20th Century “ in Graz.

Dunja Robotti has regularly performed as a soloist with orchestras since she was 10. She continues to give concerts in chamber music and Lied with different great musicians and arrangements throughout Europe and the Americas. She has performed at recital in some of the most famous concert halls, such as the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Kölner Philharmonie, Munich’s Herkulessaal and the Schubertiade Feldkirch, where she has played many times.

She has made several radio recordings for WDR and Radio Bremen and performs rarely heard Hungarian chamber music on Sender Freies Berlin and Bayerischer Rundfunk.

Dunja Robotti has for the last several years worked as a piano accompanist in the cello classes of Wolfgang Boettcher and Jens Peter Maintz at the University of Arts in Berlin. She recently started to work in the same position at the University of Music in Nuremberg, taking care of the strings. She is also a full time accompanist at the renowned master classes given at the Carl Flesch Akademie in Baden-Baden and in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Her services as a rehearsal accompanist for large orchestras are also in great demand.

A part from her pedagogical devotion, Dunja is member of several ensembles, such as the “Ensemble Mediterrain”, the Avant-Garde Band “Continuum” as well as a frequent guest of the "Festival Musica Mallorca". She is also a foundation member of the Three-Piano-Ensemble “Xinowa Sej” and the Pocket-Operette “Mann trifft Frau” (“A Man Meets A Woman”).
